* Elite Division is the first wave and is for those that think they are fast. Clydesdale and Athena are competitive divisions based on weight - "Clydesdale" athletes are those men over 220 pounds, while "Athena" athletes are women over 165 pounds.
** We have added a non-competitive 8th wave. If you are wanting to race alongside your friends or family, select Wave 8. There will not be any podium awards for Wave 8, just finisher medals.

As a condition of my participation in the Burley Lions Spudman Triathlon, I agree to the following terms: I understand that participation in the Burley Lions Spudman Triathlon is a physically demanding competition and that there are serious risks of injury, even death, that may be caused by my physical condition, accidents and other factors that may result from swimming in a river and bicycling and running on public and private roads and property with large numbers of people and the presence of vehicles. I understand that a physical examination is not required to participate in the Spudman, and that it is in my best interest and has been recommended to me that, prior to participating, I seek the advice of a qualified medical physician as to my physical ability to engage in an event as strenuous as a triathlon. In consideration of the privilege granted me of participating in the Burley Lions Spudman Triathlon, and for other good and valuable consideration, I, intending to be legally bound, hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, waive and release any and all rights and claims, including all claims for damages, that I may have against Burley Lions Club and its members, Spudman Committee, City of Burley, sponsors, volunteers, their contractors, employees, agents, representatives, successors, or assigns for any and all injuries, ailments or other consequences suffered by me including my death, while traveling to or from, or participating in, the Burley Lions Spudman Triathlon. Further, I agree to allow my name, photo, video, or file likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and/or assigns.
